What are some common causes of foot and ankle pain?

Foot and ankle symptoms can be associated with a range of musculoskeletal presentations, including tendon-related conditions, ligament injuries and plantar heel pain. Your activity, training history and previous injuries may also be relevant, which is why an individual assessment is important.

Can I keep running with foot or ankle pain?

It depends on your individual presentation. Some runners may be able to continue running with appropriate modifications, while others may need to temporarily reduce or change their training. Your practitioner can discuss suitable options following an assessment.

Do you treat plantar fasciitis?

Yes. Our team assesses and manages plantar fasciitis and plantar heel pain. Management will depend on your individual presentation and may incorporate education, activity modification and progressive exercise or loading where appropriate.

How are Achilles tendon issues rehabilitated?

Achilles rehabilitation is individualised according to your symptoms, current capacity and activity demands. Progressive loading and strength exercises may form part of your rehabilitation, with the program adjusted over time as appropriate.

Can you help with ankle sprain rehabilitation?

Yes. We assess and manage ankle sprains and ligament injuries across different activity levels. Rehabilitation may incorporate movement, strength, balance and functional exercises, with progression towards the demands of your everyday activities, running or sport where appropriate.
